Product catalog summary
Introduction
Since 1973, GESERCO has been designing and manufacturing a comprehensive range of rapid condition monitoring kits for lubricants, fuels, and solvents. These products are applicable worldwide for monitoring mineral, synthetic, and bio lubricants, including motor oils, hydraulic oils, and machining fluids.
FlashTestTM Apparatus
The FlashTestTM is a manual Cleveland type open cup flash point tester designed to determine the flash point of petroleum products, excluding fuel oils, within a range of 79°C to 400°C. It conforms to ASTM D92, IP 36, and ISO 2592 standards and can also determine the fire point.
Test Principle
  • Utilizes an electric heater with manual heating slope regulation.
  • Manual temperature reading and pilot flame application.
  • The test involves filling a cup with a sample, rapidly increasing the temperature, then slowing as the flash point nears.
  • A small test flame is passed across the cup at specific intervals to determine the flash point and fire point.
Main Characteristics
  • Dimensions: 35 cm x 25 cm x 40 cm
  • Weight: 10 kg
  • Temperature Range: 79 to 400°C
  • Repeatability: 8°C
  • Reproducibility: 15°C
  • Supply Voltage: 230V 50/60Hz

FlashTest™-1

FlashTestTM Apparatus Manual Cleveland type Flash Point Tester The GESERCO FlashTestTM apparatus is a manual Cleveland type open cup flash point tester. It is intended for determining simply, quickly and cost effectively the flash point of any petroleum products, excluding fuel oils, from 79 °C to 400 °C. The flash point determination conforms to the ASTM D92, IP 36 and ISO 2592 standards. The apparatus also allows for determining the fire point. The test is simple and rapid, and the apparatus is delivered with detailed instructions. Test Principle Main Characteristics The test cup is filled up with a defined volume of sample to be tested. Electric heater Manual heating slope regulation Manual temperature reading Manual pilot flame Supply Voltage: The temperature of the test sample is first rapidly increased, then slowly and at constant rate as the flash point is neared. At specific temperature intervals a small test flame is passed across the cup. The lowest temperature at which application of the test flame ignites the vapours above the surface of the liquid is taken as the flash point. To determine the fire point, the test is continued until the application of the test flame causes the sample under test to ignite and burn for at least 5 seconds.
