The test is simple and rapid, and the kit includes detailed instructions for the person in charge of the petroleum product to take immediate curative action. The culture is then incubated, allowing for microbial growth. When the tested sample contains bacteria, yeast, moulds or fungi, they develop within a few hours on the culture medium. The slides are gridded to make the evaluation of the contamination level easier.
