OverviewThe FL3100
Flame Detector Series by General Monitors is designed for accurate and reliable flame detection, offering advanced UV and IR sensing technology. It provides dependable protection for various applications, ensuring safety and minimizing false alarms.
Key Features- Continuous Optical Path Monitoring (COPM) checks optical path integrity every minute.
- Flicker discrimination circuitry reduces false alarms from arc welding, lightning, sunlight, or hot objects.
- MODBUS RTU compatible RS-485 serial communication for networking up to 128 detectors, or 247 with repeaters.
- 4-20mA analog output for remote alarm and fault indication.
- Aluminum or stainless steel housing supports harsh conditions and explosion-proof environments.
- Wide temperature range from -40˚F to 185˚F (-40˚C to 85˚C).
- Special version available for hydrogen fire detection.
- Modular components for low maintenance and reduced total cost of ownership.
Advanced DesignThe FL3100/3101/3110/3111 models contain a phototube responsive to 185-260 nanometer radiation. The UV portion is combined with a pyroelectric detector for high discrimination of infrared radiation changes. The FL3102 and FL3112 models use Digital Frequency Analysis (DFA) to analyze high and low frequencies, discriminating against false alarms.
System ApprovalsThe flame detectors have universal product approvals including CSA, FM, ATEX, and CE Marking. They are suitable for SIL 2/3 applications.
ApplicationsThe FL3100 Series is versatile for various applications such as petroleum refineries, offshore platforms, fuel loading facilities, LNG & LPG plants, chemical processing, aircraft hangars, automotive assembly, paint spray booths, compressor stations, gas turbines, warehousing, and hydrogen plants.
