Increased Efficiency „Something new from something old“ - a wish that we have made come true. Our robust and useful honing machines have been in use for more than 30 years and still produce proven quality. In general older machines can be refitted economically for new tasks. An upgrade of the control system and updating key assembly components to the latest state-of-the-art technology are matter of course at Gehring. Regardless whether a new part is to be machined or productivity and quality should be increased, the reasons for deciding on a retrofit or modernization can be diverse.

Retrofitting and Modernization With the possibility of modernizing the modular construction system, the efforts can be customized to your needs. Rebuilt Kit for High Stroke Speeds The Gehring rebuilt kit for electronic motor stroke units replaces the hydraulic units on Z-machines. For spindle sizes with a working range from 125 to 250 mm (integrated design) the rebuilt kit enables high stroke speeds and offers a “clean” drive solution. The compact design deletes the hydraulic stroke cylinder, control block and controls up to the entire hydraulic equipment.

DLC08 – Your New Control System The PLC-Control DLC08 was developed to replace older or defective control components in honing machines. The entire machine is brought up to modern control standards. The Gehring DLC08 is a cost-effective option, which considerably increases and maintains the production dependability. The modular design ensures optimal custom- ization to the requirements as well as simple expansion options of the controls. The clear operator controls enable easy input of the production data.

Spare Parts Package on Site We offer our customers the option of warehousing relevant spare and wear parts for our components directly on site. Machine availability is thereby increased, downtime is minimized and delivery time is completely omitted. Short term installation or independent installation is possible. Service - Module 1 Hotline and 2 Hotline Plus When production halts and quick help is needed, we are ready. Our Module 1 (Hotline) and 2 (Hotline Plus) serve as fast troubleshooting with direct support. Our experts in the Gehring-Service-Center are available. Your unit is connected via a secure VPN-connection directly 8 to our Gehring-Service-Center – You define the access and track the problem solving. If required, we can also enable you the access to your machine PLC and NC.

Service - Module 3 Preventive Maintenance Service - Module 4 Alignment/ Adjustment Minimize maintenance and repair costs.
