PMMA PMMA (acrylique) Le polyméthacrylate de méthyle est fragile et présente une dureté, une rigidité et une solidité élevées. En outre, le PMMA résiste aux rayures et peut être poli. Il est doté d’une bonne résistance aux chocs thermiques et aux UV. La température d’utilisation en continu du PMMA est comprise entre -40 °C et env. +70 °C. Propriétés : • Dureté et rigidité très élevées • Grande résistance mécanique • Surface polissable • Grande transparence • Résistance élevée à la déformation thermique • Bonnes propriétés électriques et diélectriques • Grande résistance aux intempéries • Faible absorption d’eau • Faible résistance aux fissures sous contrainte • Faible résistance chimique • Faible ténacité (fragile) Exemples d’application : Pièces pour la construction d’écrans et d’appareils, le secteur des denrées alimentaires, tubes de lampes, conduits pour le lait, mains courantes, composants pour la construction automobile.
