Overview
The DRUVATHERM® Reactor DVT by Lödige is designed for high-speed mixing of reactants, ensuring efficient reactions with no temperature gradients and preventing local overconcentration. This results in higher yield and greater end product purity. The reactor supports a multiphase process including reaction, heating, drying, granulation, and cooling.

Specifications
The reactor is a batch-process, high-speed reactor with a cylindrical drum jacketed for temperature regulation. It supports a wide range of applications including cellulose derivatives, starch, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, plastics, and recycling. The reactor can handle solid, liquid, and gaseous phases, with product consistencies ranging from liquid to free-flowing.

Mode of Operation
High-speed mixing elements ensure frequent contact between reactants and the drum wall, facilitating reactions in both homogeneous and heterogeneous phases. Side-mounted high-speed choppers enhance mixing and dispersion.

Optional Equipment
Options include speed variation via hydrostatic drive or frequency regulation, construction from various materials (mild steel, austenitic steels, etc.), pressure range up to 40 bar, temperature range up to 650°C, and double-action mechanical face seals for shafts. Drum volumes are available from 5 liters upwards.
