Overview
The Continuous Ploughshare® Mixer KM by Lödige is designed to achieve maximum homogeneity in mixing processes. It operates with residence and mixing times ranging from 25 to 60 seconds and can complete granulation processes within 3 to 6 minutes. The mixer ensures gentle treatment of products, consistent reproducibility, maximum availability, and low maintenance requirements.

Mode of Operation
The mixer utilizes the Lödige principle of a mechanically generated fluid bed. Ploughshare® shovels rotate close to the wall of a horizontal, cylindrical drum, lifting mixing components into the open mixing area. This action counteracts centrifugal force and ensures all product is involved in the mixing process, achieving maximum mixing intensity even at high feed rates and short residence times. Optional choppers can be installed to disperse agglomerates and control granulation.
