GE10 Gas Turbine

GE10 Gas Turbine

Product catalog summary
Engine Characteristics
The GE 10 gas turbine is a versatile and compact turbogenerator designed for both single-shaft and two-shaft configurations. It is suitable for combined cycle and cogeneration applications, especially where space is limited. The turbine features an 11-stage axial flow compressor with a 15.5:1 pressure ratio, and it operates at a rotational speed of 11,000 rpm with a mass flow of 47 Kg/s. The GE 10 is capable of burning a wide range of fuels, including low BTU gas, thanks to its special combustion system.
Lubrication and Bearings
The lubrication system is integrated into the gas turbine baseplate, featuring a main lube oil pump driven by the gearbox and auxiliary pumps for pre-post lubrication and emergency backup. The system includes tilting pad type thrust and journal bearings.
Combustion System
The GE 10's combustion system is available in both conventional and dry low emissions (DLE) configurations, achieving NOx emissions as low as 25 ppmv. The system supports steam and water injection for further NOx reduction and power augmentation.
Starting System
The starting system can be either electro-hydraulic or VFD driven, with options for black start-up capability using a diesel engine.
Control System
The control system is standardized for high integration between the turbine and generator, with programmable modules for tailored control and protection.
Package Configurations
GE10-1: Designed for power generation, this package minimizes plant dimensions and maintenance costs. It includes a sound-insulated enclosure and meets ISO NR 50 acoustic limits.
GE10-2: Tailored for mechanical drive applications, this package also focuses on compact design and reduced maintenance, with similar acoustic specifications.
Maintenance and Service
GE 10 maintenance can be performed on-site or at authorized workshops. The engine features borescope holes for inspections and allows for quick engine replacement to minimize downtime. GE Oil & Gas offers comprehensive global services, including training, remote monitoring, customer support, and contractual service agreements.
