SWING GATE BR1-U PURPOSE The swing gate is intended for securing emergency escape exits. A mechanical device with the arm return spring system included. CASING The casing is made of 1.4301 (EN 10088) ground stainless steel. ONE AND TWO-WAY SYSTEM One-way or two-way swing system. The one-way system opens in one direction only. PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION The BR1 type gate is equipped with a spring system which automatically sets the movable gate arm back to the initial position every time a person passes through. The BR1-UK model with a key-operated lock provides the possibility of locking the passage with a lock placed on the body. Turning the key clock-wise immobilizes the arm. Making the passage available again and unlocking the arm requires turning the key in the opposite direction. In the BR1-UE model, the gate arm motion is disabled with the use of a lock mounted on an additional barrier which is situated on the opposite side of the passage. After supplying voltage to the lock (e.g. with a remote switch mounted in the reception room), the arm motion is disabled. Making the passage available again requires cutting off the power supply from the gate system. MECHANICAL KEY LOCK (BR1-U-X*-K) Optional for one-way system gates – the arm motion is locked with a key. ELECTROMECHANICAL LOCK (BR1-U-X*-E/BR1-U-X*-ES) This functionality is available with one-way or twoway gates. The locking system design prevents it from being damaged in case of an unauthorized attempt to open. Cutting off the power supply makes the gate unlock.
