Product catalog summary
Overview: The Galvanic BRM 961-AG is an advanced analyzer designed for measuring H2S concentrations in the sulphur inlet of acid gas streams at Claus sulphur recovery plants. It utilizes a state-of-the-art ultraviolet (UV) spectrometer for precise and real-time data, enabling operators to optimize sulphur balance efficiently.
System Components: The analyzer system is divided into two main parts: sample handling and analytical components. These are connected via fibre optic cables and electrical conduits, reducing corrosion risks. The sample handling includes a heated oven and pressure transmitter, while the analytical section houses the spectrometer and system computer.
Analytical Methodology: The system measures H2S absorption in the UV spectrum using a stable deuterium broadband source. A 2048 element CCD detector is used for high sensitivity and resolution, minimizing noise. The system computer processes spectral data to calculate H2S concentration.
Output Signals: H2S concentration is output as a 4 to 20 mA analog signal, with remote alarm indication via relay contacts.
System Computer: Controls analyzer operations, data processing, and provides a graphical user interface. It is mounted on the analyzer enclosure door for easy access.
Sample Handling: The system uses a pressure differential for sample transport, with materials in contact with gases made from stainless steel, anodized aluminum, or Teflon®.
Analyzer Enclosure: Contains the system computer, spectrophotometer, and other components, protected by a purge system and vortex cooler.
Installation: The analyzer should be located near the sample point and protected from weather exposure.
Performance Specifications: Features auto calibration, low zero drift, high sensitivity, and repeatability. The response time is near-instantaneous, dependent on the sample line.
Physical Specifications: The system is mounted on a frame with specific dimensions and weight. It requires electrical and instrument air services.
Area Classification: Suitable for Class I Division 2 (Type Z Pressurized) areas.
Contact Information: Galvanic Applied Sciences Inc. provides contact details for their offices in Canada and the USA.

SAMPLE HANDLING Mounted to the sample handling panel are a heated oven, pressure transmitter and all of the necessary plumbing, fittings and valving associated with transporting the sample and calibration (zeroing) of the analyzer. The sample cell is located in the heated oven, which is typically controlled at 50°C. The system does not use an eductor or pump to draw sample, it depends on the pressure differential between the sample point on the acid gas line and a safe, low-pressure sample return point. • ield proven reliability and low mainF tenance cost Materials in direct contact with the...
