Overview: The NSN3 is a portable neutron survey meter designed for measuring ambient dose equivalent rates, primarily for worker protection in nuclear facilities, research centers, particle accelerators, and civil protection teams. It is lightweight, easy to handle, and does not use ³He or BF³, offering excellent gamma rejection and a wide measuring range.

Detection Principle: The NSN3 uses an innovative detection principle with an organic gas mixture of methane and nitrogen. Fast neutrons are detected through the elastic scattering reaction of hydrogen from methane, while slow, thermal neutrons are detected by the 14N (n,p) 14C reaction of nitrogen, with a proton energy of 626 keV.
