Grab Bar Screen

Product catalog summary
Overview: The FSM coarse bar screen is a robust and reliable equipment used globally for over 30 years in water and wastewater treatment. It is designed for coarse cleaning, offering high performance with low operating costs, and provides protection for pumping and fine screening installations.
Functional Principle: Wastewater flows through a steel or stainless steel bar screen, where screenings are retained. A special grab collects solid matter from the channel bottom, preventing jamming. A pivoting scraper discharges screenings into various containers. The rake's position is controlled by a rotary selector switch, allowing different screen field positions to be reached.
Features:
  • High reliability due to robust construction.
  • Allows grit passage without malfunction.
  • Prevents screenings from falling back with a sheet steel apron.
  • Positive conveyance of screenings to discharge point.
  • Secure guiding of grab shovel with double bearing arrangement.
  • Excellent cost/performance ratio and low maintenance costs.
  • Suitable for outdoor and winter operations.
  • Adaptable to changing conditions and can be hygienically encapsulated if needed.
Applications:
  • Municipal and industrial clarification plants for wastewater pre-treatment and coarse screening.
  • Sea water treatment and rainwater tank overflow screening.
  • Supply pumping stations and protective installations for downstream equipment.
  • Paper and cellulose industry for wash water and coarse matter runoff.
  • Power stations for cooling and service water screening.
  • Various industrial applications including textile, meat processing, sugar industry, and more.
Dimensions: Screen width ranges from 800 to 8000 mm, channel depth up to 10000 mm, and gap width from 10 mm to 100 mm. Custom sizes are available on request.
Material/Make: Options include galvanised steel, stainless steel SS304 or SS316 for machine frame, bar screen, guides, and grab shovel. Special steel is used for grab teeth, and sea water resistant materials are available for use with sea/brackish water.
