Dual Flow Screen

Product catalog summary
Overview: The FSM Dual Flow Screen is designed for waste water pre-treatment and raw water intake, addressing specific challenges in these areas. FSM Frankenberger GmbH & Co. KG has been active in this field since 1973, initially providing solutions for cooling water generation in power plants and pulp and paper mills.
Applications:
  • Municipal and Industrial Clarification Plants: Waste water pre-treatment and fine screening, membrane treatment plants.
  • Power Stations: River or sea water screening.
  • Potable Water Treatment Plants: River or sea water screening.
Functional Principle: The system allows unscreened waste water to flow through filter elements from both sides, with an outlet in the middle of the screen frame. A continuous filter belt is cleaned by a spray bar, with optional brush assistance. The filter elements, made of stainless steel mesh or perforated plates, prevent the passage of suspended contaminants. The screenings are discharged into containers or conveyors, and the system is sealed to prevent solids from bypassing the filter.
Features:
  • High reliability and robust construction ensure continuous operation.
  • No carry-over effect of screenings to the downstream side.
  • Optimal cleaning of filter elements by spray bar and optional brush.
  • Positive conveyance of screenings to the discharge point.
  • Excellent cost/performance ratio with low maintenance costs.
  • Suitable for outdoor sites and winter operation.
  • Adaptable to changing operating conditions.
  • Completely enclosed for odor control.
Specifications:
  • Dimensions: Filter width from 300 to 5000 mm, shaft center distance up to 15000 mm, filter element mesh size from 0.5 to 3 mm, perforation from 1 to 12 mm, mounting angle at 90°.
  • Materials: Machine frame and filter elements made of stainless steel SS304 or SS316, with other materials available on request. Chains, rollers, and sprockets are made of wear-resistant materials. Side sealing is made of HDPE. Drives are geared motors by SEW.
  • Sea/Brackish Water Use: Sea water resistant materials are used for screen frame, filter panels, chains, and sprockets.

Dual Flow Screen-2

FSM Dual Flow Screen For waste water and raw water Functional principle: The FSM Dual Flow Screen was developed to deal with particular problems associated with waste water pre-treatment and raw water intake. FSM is working in this field since 1973. The first machines are used to generate cooling water for power plants and pulp and paper mills from rivers. Parallel to the increasing demands of users, FSM introduced modifications to the basic design. These have resulted in an optimum product for the preliminary treatment of waste or river (sea) water - providing high performance coupled with low...
