Frozen in Time Ltd. Manufacturers of Freeze Drying Machines and Vacuum Cold traps 8 Port Column Manifold UK Manufactured Product can be freeze dried in up to 8 flasks at once on this stainless steel manifold with rubber adapter valves. The design of the valves enables flasks to be added, vented or removed from the manifold without disturbing the process. The flasks containing a small amount of product are rotated in a freezer bath containing alcohol or other none freezing liquid. The product coats the inside of the flask as it rotates and as it freezes, forms a thin frozen shell of material thereby maximizing its surface area. The flask is then transferred to the manifold on the freeze drier so drying can occur. This thin layer will dry faster and in a more stable way than if the same amount of product was placed in a container to a deeper depth with smaller surface area.
