High-voltage high-breaking-capacity fuse links

Product catalog summary
General Description: DRIESCHER high-voltage high breaking capacity (h.v.h.b.c.) fuses are designed for medium-voltage switchgear systems ranging from 3 to 36 kV. They provide reliable protection for transformers, cables, capacitors, and switching installations against short circuits. These fuses are suitable for various environments, including air and gas-insulated indoor systems, outdoor systems, and oil-immersed transformers. They comply with DIN 43625 and VDE 0670 Part 4 standards.
Design and Types: The fuses are constructed with porcelain tubes and pure silver elements, ensuring precise characteristic tolerance. They feature a striker pin with a release force of 80 or 120 N, which operates the breaker mechanism or a remote indication device.
Specifications: The document details fuses with striker and thermal protection for rated currents up to 63 A and more than 63 A, with various part numbers, dimensions, weights, and losses. The fuses are designed to limit short-circuit currents effectively, reducing thermal and dynamic stress on equipment.
Thermal Protection: All fuses with a release force of 80 N and rated currents up to 160 A include thermal protection to prevent excessive temperatures in switchgear systems. Proper fuse selection is crucial to avoid faults due to incorrect ratings.
Fuse Protection of Transformers: The document provides guidelines for selecting h.v.h.b.c. fuses for transformer protection, considering factors like inrush current, short-circuit current, and discrimination between high and low-voltage protection.
Time/Current Characteristics: The pre-arching time/current characteristics for fuses from 6.3 to 160 A are illustrated, ensuring close tolerances and reliable performance.
Accessories: Dummy cartridges, bypass tubes, fuse holders, and fuse tongs are available for testing and operational purposes. The document also lists various medium and low-voltage systems and accessories offered by DRIESCHER.

Dummy cartridges > Dummy cartridges are used to test the mechanicalfunction of equipment fitted with h.v.h.b.c. fuses with strikers without current. The dimensions are the same as in the original car-tridges of the h.v.h.b.c. fuses. The test is made by pressing a push-button whichthen ejects the striker pin at an impact force of approx. 70 N and with the same travel as in normal striker cartridges. After each operation the striker pin has to be pressed in again. The dummy cartridges are clearly marked as such and have a s.r.b.p. tube instead of the porcelain tube. Bypass tubes 12 - 36 kV HE 4-44808...
