101 & 201 STATIC DISCHARGERS

101 & 201 STATIC DISCHARGERS

101 & 201 STATIC DISCHARGERS

Product catalog summary
Overview: Fraser Static Dischargers, including Models 101 and 201, are designed for high performance in static discharge applications, offering cost-effectiveness and versatility. They are particularly effective for high-speed and high-charge environments.
Specifications:
  • Model 101: Available in lengths up to 4m, with a robust 2mm extruded body. Mounting holes can be drilled in the single wall.
  • Model 201: Available in lengths up to 3m, featuring a 9.5mm x 9.5mm aluminum body with M4 x 10mm mounting studs.
  • Fibres: Carbon Fibre (6/7µ diameter, 60,000 filaments per cm) and Nylon Fibre (35µ diameter, 4-5,000 filaments per cm).
Functionality: The static dischargers use highly conductive fibres to concentrate the electric field of static charges, ionizing the air and neutralizing the charge. The fibres do not need to touch the material, typically positioned 2-3mm away. The body must be grounded.
Fibre Options:
  • Carbon Fibre: More effective and cost-efficient, suitable for 90% of applications.
  • Nylon Fibre: Offers resilience and can be cleaned with water, recommended for clean applications.
  • Fibre Lengths: Standard 18mm, with options for 30mm, 50mm, and 80mm.
ATEX/Hazardous Area Applications: For such environments, EX-HPSD Static Dischargers are recommended, featuring solvent-resistant construction and available in lengths up to 4m.

101 & 201 STATIC DISCHARGERS-2

How it works: The “brushes” have a large number of highly conductive fibres. The fine tips of the fibres concentrate the electric field of the static charge and ionise the air. This ionised air provides ions of the opposite polarity to neutralise the static charge and allow it to flow to earth through the brush body. The tips of the fibre do not need to touch the material to be neutralised, normally they are positioned 2-3mm from it. The Static Discharger body must be connected to an earth/ ground. Options Choice of Fibre: Carbon or Conductive Nylon? Carbon fibre is more effective and lower in...
