Mode of Operation: The test material is moved past the sensor system, which induces eddy currents in the material. These currents are detected by the coils, indicating flaws with high sensitivity. The system can detect holes, pits, transverse flaws, and longitudinal flaws.

Construction: The standard DEFECTOMAT ECM includes a frequency module, mains cable, sensor cable, and sensor system. It can be expanded with additional frequency modules, phase adjusters, and power amplifiers.
