Forged Bearing Race Inspection System

Forged Bearing Race Inspection System

Product catalog summary
Overview: The Forged Bearing Race Inspection System is designed to evaluate forged bearing races for cracks and porosity, inspecting one part at a time.
Specifications: The system positions the part on three carbide rods allowing rotation. An idler wheel, pneumatically operated, forces the part against two polyurethane-coated drive wheels to facilitate rotation.
Inspection Process: The OD probe, located between the drive rolls, is mounted on a precision slide to scan the part's outer diameter. An Eddy Current probe connected to a STATOGRAPH ECM monitors background signals to verify operation, rotation, and detect flaws.
Features: A Clearance Compensation Card automatically adjusts the STATOGRAPH ECM's sensitivity for variations in air gap or lift-off.
Procedure: Upon test completion, rotation stops, and the part is released for indexing. Accepted parts are pushed into the exit track by a pneumatic arm, while rejected parts are unloaded onto the reject track.
