Mode of Operation: The test material is moved past the sensor system, inducing eddy currents that are detected by the test electronics. The differential channel is highly sensitive to changes in electrical conductivity, indicating flaws such as holes, pits, and longitudinal flaws.

Construction: The standard DEFECTOMAT ECM includes the main unit, frequency module, cables, and sensor system. It can be expanded with additional frequency modules, phase adjusters, and power amplifiers for specific applications.
