Product catalog summary
Introduction
The DEFECTOMAT DI is an advanced eddy-current testing device designed for multi-line support, based on the successful DEFECTOMAT CI model. It features a separation between the test unit and the operation unit, allowing for centralized control of multiple testing lines.

Specifications
The device supports both 1-channel and optional 2-channel evaluations, enabling simultaneous use of differential and absolute channels. It integrates necessary functions and interfaces for eddy-current testing and supports connection via Ethernet, allowing for long-distance communication.

Applications
- Tube Welding Lines: Monitors weld quality using differential and absolute channels.
- Endless Wire Lines: Evaluates defect signals for quality assessment, recommended for stainless steel wires with small diameters.
- Tube and Bar Stock Finishing Lines: Tests surface flaws and material properties.
- Casting/Rolling Lines: Detects flaws and ferrous inclusions using eddy-current and FERROMAT channels.

Benefits
- Reliability: IP 63 protection level for use in harsh environments.
- Future-Proof: Compatible with previous models, allowing easy upgrades without line modifications.
- Modular: Base model covers popular applications, with options for extended functionality.
- Cost-Effective: Utilizes standard PCs for signal display, reducing costs and enhancing usability.

New is the stringent separation of the test unit (electronics for eddy-current testing and interface to the testing line) and the operation unit (electronics for signal display and storage of test results). This action enables the functionality of multi-line support from a single operation unit. The field of application is diversified and varies from the 1-channel evaluation for many...

3 In tube welding lines, using the differential and absolute channels to monitor the weld quality with weld probes or segment coils. The optional absolute channel detects open seam tubes. In endless wire lines, e.g. drawing lines or rewinders, the section-specific evaluation of defect signals over selectable limit values produces three quality statements. For stainless steel wires with small diameter the sensor system Minicoil is recommended. The test coil guides itself on the wire and is therefore able to balance variation in the tensile strength and direction. In tube and bar stock finishing...
