Product catalog summary

Introduction of ServoCube®: Föhrenbach GmbH has developed the ServoCube®, a fully digital AC-servo drive, as part of its F-MMS®-Series. This product is designed for three-phase synchronous motors, linear, and DC motors, offering a compact solution for decentralized applications and OEM OpenFrame versions.

Key Features: The ServoCube® operates in torque, velocity, or positioning mode with multiple axis synchronization, controlled via field buses. It is programmable through RS232, CAN-Bus, Profibus, and EtherCat interfaces, facilitating easy integration into existing systems. The drive can be configured using the F-MMS®-SC-ConfigTool, allowing adaptation to application requirements with nominal and peak current specifications.

Technical Specifications: The ServoCube® supports various feedback options and features a large memory for storing up to 64 positions. It can be implemented as a decentralized or integrated solution, with a maximum operating temperature of 0 – 65°C. The OpenFrame version measures 103 x 69 x 37 mm, delivering 1500 W power at 48 VDC with a PWM clock rate of 10 kHz.

Market Position and Applications: The ServoCube® offers a competitive price/power ratio, making it suitable for compact series machines. It is designed for precision machinery applications such as NC-machines, handling, and robotics. Föhrenbach positions it as a universal, high-power, compact servo drive compatible with common bus systems.

Company Overview: Föhrenbach Group specializes in high-precision components and systems for automation technology and precision machinery. Founded in 1975, the company serves various industries, including laser technology, CNC machines, and medical technology, with production facilities in Germany, Switzerland, and Ireland.

■ High power density in very economic package size ■ Easy connection and versitale implementation possibilities Lffingen-Unadingen, September 15, 2006 The company F斶hrenbach GmbH, one of the leading developers and producers in the automation and handling technology for the precision machinery industry developed with the fully digital AC-servo drive ServoCube > for three-phase synchronous motors, linear and DC-motors, an additional product for its F-MMS > ή -Series (Fhrenbach Modular-Motion-System). The ServoCube > had been designed as compact unit for decentralized solutions and as OEM OpenFrame-version. It can operate in torque, velocity or positioning mode with multiple axis synchronization, controlled via field busses. The fully digital AC-servo drive is programmable via RS232, CAN-Bus, Profibus and EtherCat interfaces. That allows a simple and fast implementation in the existing infrastructur. With the parametrizing programm F-MMS > 殮 -SC-ConfigTool the ServoCube > is easy to configurate in a short time and without much programming effort. The servo drive can be adapted on the application requirements in regards to nominal current (15 Aeff max.) and peak current (40 Aeff peak for 2 sec.). It supports a number of feedback options such as resolver, analog Hall-Sensors, digital Six-Step-Hall-Sensors and SinCos-Encoder with HIPERFACE. It features a large memory that allows the saving of up to 64 positions in the positioning mode, segmented into four groups with each 16 positions. Herewith an absolute or relative point-to-point positioning is possible. The setpoint setting can be realized via the field bus system or via two analog inputs with α 10 V. The ServoCube > can be implemented as decentralized or integrated solution. The maximum operating temperature of 0 Ζ 65C as well as the high power density in relation to the size make the servo drive predestinated for motor mounting. ГThe ServoCube > features as OpenFrame-version a size of only 103 x 69 x 37 mm and with its power of 1500 W (Pmax at 48 VDC) and a clock rate of PWM 10 kHz it can be characterized as an extremely compact servo driveΔ, says Alexander Bruno, Product Manager at Fhrenbach.
