Project Overview

The El Abra project, located at the El Abra Mine in Chile, was executed for the client Bechtel Corporation. The project involved the installation of mobile conveyor equipment to support mining operations.

Equipment Specifications

• Mobile Stacking Conveyor: Length of 1,378 feet (420 meters) with a stacking capacity of 8,600 tonnes per hour (tph).
• Mobile Reclaiming Conveyor: Length of 1,378 feet (420 meters) with a reclaiming capacity of 9,500 tph.

Operational Details

The equipment was commissioned and started operation in 1996, providing high-capacity material handling solutions for the mine.
