Materials of Construction The QB Series balanced pusher seals are designed to operate under pressures up to 750 psig (51.7 bar) and temperatures ranging from -40 to +400°F (-40 to +204°C). They are suitable for fluids with a specific gravity of 0.4 and higher and can handle surface speeds up to 75 fps (23 m/sec). The shaft sizes range from 0.50 to 5.50 inches (12.70 to 139.70 mm).
Operating Parameters The seals are constructed with metal components such as 316 Stainless Steel, Alloy C-276, and Alloy 20. The rotating face materials include Carbon and Silicon Carbide, while the stationary face materials are Silicon Carbide and Tungsten Carbide. Gaskets are made from Fluoroelastomer and Perfluoroelastomer, and the springs are composed of Alloy C-276.
Product Features The QB Series seals are available in single and dual configurations, designed for sealing environmentally-restricted products and complying with API 682/ISO 21049 Type A requirements. They feature rugged components in a cartridge design for reliability and easy installation on API
pumps. The heavy-duty seal faces minimize leakage, and the multiport flush design enhances heat dissipation for uniform cooling. The patented spring holder pumping ring design flushes the spring area, and part interchangeability between single and dual seal arrangements reduces inventory needs and increases design flexibility.
