  • Thickness: 0.8 mm to 3.0 mm
  • Density: 2.9 g/cm³
  • Compressibility: 7-11%
  • Recovery: 43-46%
  • Tensile Strength: 15-17 MPa
  • Residual Stress at 175°C: 19-35 MPa
  • Gas Permeability: <0.1 mL/min
  • Liquid Leakage: 2-3 mL/hr
  • Creep Relaxation: 17-51%
Availability: Sheet size is 2.0 m x 2.0 m, with welded gaskets available for larger sizes. Thickness ranges from 0.75 mm to 3.2 mm, with other thicknesses available on request.
Health and Safety: The product is generally safe under normal handling. Contains PTFE and barium sulphate, which may produce irritant dusts under harsh mechanical treatment. Good hygiene practices are recommended during handling. The product is non-flammable, but decomposition at high temperatures can produce harmful fumes. HEALTH AND SAFETY Because of the processes which take place during manufacture, the product is believed to present no health and safety hazard and, under normal handling and use it is unlikely that the product will give rise to significant levels of exposure to constituent materials. SIGMA 533 contains PTFE and barium sulphate. Under harsh mechanical treatment (e.g. high speed stamping operations or abrasion) the constituents may give rise to irritant dusts which, in extreme cases of exposure, could lead to more serious respiratory problems. Occupational exposure to such dusts should therefore...
