Introduction

The 1301 Series regulators are designed for high-pressure drop applications, with inlet pressures up to 6000 psig / 414 bar. Type 1301F manages outlet pressures from 10 to 225 psig / 0.69 to 15.5 bar, while Type 1301G handles 200 to 500 psig / 13.8 to 34.5 bar, suitable for pilot supply or pressure-loaded applications.

Specifications
  • Configurations: Type 1301F and Type 1301G for high-pressure reducing applications.
  • Body size and end connection: 1/4 NPT with various flange options.
  • Maximum inlet pressure: 6000 psig / 414 bar for air and gas, with specific limits for liquids.
  • Temperature capabilities vary with material options for low-temperature service.
  • Spring case vents and customization options available.
Principle of Operation

Direct-operated regulators with internal downstream pressure registration. The disk adjusts to pressure changes to maintain set pressure.

Installation

Regulators can be installed in any position, with vents protected from foreign material. Overpressure protection is necessary if inlet pressure exceeds outlet pressure ratings.

Construction Materials

Standard and NACE construction options with materials including brass, stainless steel, and various elastomers.

Capacity Information

Tables provide air and water capacities at various pressures. Equations are provided for calculating capacities for different gases and conditions.

Specifications and Procedures

Detailed specifications for Type 1301F and 1301G regulators include inlet pressure ranges, outlet pressure settings, and CV coefficients based on a 20% droop. Inlet pressures over 1000 psig (69.0 bar) are not recommended for water service.

Pressure Drop and Flow Considerations

Discusses maximum allowable pressure drop for liquids, emphasizing risks of choked flow and cavitation damage. Provides formula for determining maximum allowable pressure drop for water and guidance for other fluids.

Compliance and Materials

Optional materials for sour gases compliant with NACE International standards. Customers must specify correct materials and consider environmental limitations.

Ordering Information

Instructions for ordering include selection of type, body and spring case material, valve disk, and gaskets. An ordering guide and specification worksheet assist in the process.

Dimensions and Construction

Dimensions for the 1301 series are provided, with options for brass and stainless steel materials. Includes diagrams and tables detailing dimensions and optional features like handwheels and vent connections.

Contact Information

Contact details for Emerson Process Management's regional offices are provided for further assistance and ordering inquiries.

1301 Series High-Pressure Regulators Figure 1. Type 1301F Regulator   • urable Stainless Steel Diaphragm—For high-outlet D pressure applications. The proven reliability and accurate regulation of the 1301 Series regulators (see Figure 1) make them ideal for numerous high-pressure drop applications. They are direct-operated, high-pressure regulators designed for inlet pressures up to 6000 psig / 414 bar. The Type 1301F can handle outlet pressures from 10 to 225 psig / 0.69 to 15.5 bar in three ranges and the Type 1301G can handle outlet pressures from 200 to 500 psig / 13.8 to 34.5 bar in one range.   • pare Valve Disk Provided—Extra valve disk through a S reversible disk holder assembly.   • ersatility—Can control a variety of media including air, V gas, water, and other liquids.   • NSI Class VI Shutoff—Soft-seat valve plug disks A ensure tight shutoff. These multi-purpose regulators can be used as pilot supply or pressure-loaded regulators where high-pressure operating medium must be reduced for use by gas regulator pilots or pressure-loaded regulators. Their rugged design offers versatility for a wide variety of applications including air, gas, water, and other liquids. An optional spring case with a tapped vent and adjusting screw closing cap is available that enables the Type 1301F to be used as a pressureloaded regulator.
