The AF 8 backwash filter is designed for demanding situations and tough conditions, offering continuous filtration performance. It features a standardized platform concept for low acquisition costs and high flexibility, with a compact design that reduces commissioning and maintenance costs. The AF 8's performance is based on a new platform concept with a multi-part housing and wide adjustment options, all within a compact installation space. Adaptive filter elements, variable connection flange positions, and housing materials allow for optimal adaptation to specific filtration requirements.

1. The suspension flows through the filter-inlet into the automatic filter.
2. Particles are deposited on the inside of the filter insert as the suspension flows through.
3. The filtrate enters the clean room and exits via the filter outlet.
4. Cleaning starts when a maximum differential pressure or pre-set time is reached.
5. The nozzle rotates, driven by a geared motor.
6. A valve opens the pressureless flushing line, guiding particles out through the nozzle slot and flushing nozzle. The valve closes after one turn, and filtration continues uninterrupted.
