Specifications:
The Switching Unit LSUW NSR 3-1K is compatible with 230 V AC, 115 V AC, or 24 V DC, depending on the transmitter. It includes two normally-open, floating, monitored forced-opening contacts. The output contacts should not exceed 2A/250 V AC or 60 V DC, 30 W. For inductive loads, a spark-quenching element is advised.
Procedures:
Connect the working-current supply via terminals 16-17 and 20-21. Hazardous movements should only be switched through these terminals. Output 18-19 is for monitoring and should not initiate hazardous movements. Disconnect the switching unit during electrical welding to avoid damage.
Norms and Recommendations:
Avoid applying external potential to terminals 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, D, and 22. Use double contacts for increased reliability. Test the system by reaching into the protective field before operation.
Operating Modes:
Mode A: For presses with table heights over 750 mm, the press reverses if the protective field is breached during hazardous movement.
Mode B: For presses with table heights under 750 mm, the machine stops if the protective field is breached and can only restart after pressing the "Start" button.
Connection and Safety:
Protect all circuits individually if the current exceeds 2 A. Position the "Start" pushbutton for easy monitoring of the hazardous area. The system includes a restart interlock feature to prevent accidental restarts during mode changes.
