CAsing field: assembly of frames for concealed sliding doors - 1

Casing field: automatic assembly of frames for concealed sliding doors The winning partnership between FIAM and MBL Solutions has developed a new technologically advanced solution to obtain an average productivity of about 250/300 sliding door frames per shift. We planned a machine able to process any different type of frames: standard lengths (from 600 up to 1.200 mm) and two different heights (2.100 and 2.200mm). The innovative systems we developed permit to automate the tightening process in the end cycle of the frames assembling process with depth and torque control of all self-drilling screws in a variable quantity from 40 up to 50 screws for each frame. Working cycle includes 1st working station: manual loading of the frames the workpiece jigs, positioned on the turntable, are equipped with a built-in mechanical/electrical unlocking system to permit the use of different jigs according to the shape of the frame to be processed. Օ Rotation of the turntable the frames are moved to the second station where automatic assembling phases take place. 2nd working cycle: automatic assembly of the frames the first and second metal sheets are assembled by means of tightenings with self-drilling screws. The assembly time in this station is 2,5 minutes. Օ Rotation of the turntable manual unloading of the assembled components: while assembling in the second station, the operator in the first station unloads the assembled components and so on.

H33CIIIU Tightening of the self-drilling screws on the short side of the door The screws on the short side of the doors are tightened simultaneously two by two (from top to bottom and from bottom to top) by two MCA tightening Systems. For these assembly operations on vertical axis we used: two dual-movement fastening slides with 32 mm cylinder bore, running on ball recirculating runners, complete with magnetic cylinders, pneumatic decelerators and limit switch position sensors. Օ the slides house MCSE5A air nutrunner motors with Jointech Plus torque control system and automatic immediate...

Tightening of self-drilling screws on the long side of the door The tightening axis on the long side of the door frame are two, oblique, at 45° and - 45°. The screws on this side are tightened by 1 MCA tightening system including: a dual-movement fastening slide with 32 mm cylinder bore, running on ball recirculating runners, complete with magnetic cylinders, pneumatic decelerators and limit switch position sensors. Օ the slide houses an MCSE5A air nutrunner motor with Jointech Plus torque control system and automatic immediate air shut-off. each slide is also equipped with screw head and...
