www.FGWilson.com Rental Back Sync Control System A new control system developed to complement our Rental range 250 – 1250 kVA Realising the need for an ‘in-house’ built synchronising system to work on Utility Company hires, FG Wilson has worked together with a major partner to develop the ‘Sync-on No-Break’ panel and realise a fully operational Sync-on and Back Sync Control System, ensuring a break free service. With a foremost emphasis on the safety aspect of this type of synchronising, FG Wilson has developed a generator set control panel with different modes of operation, including stand alone base load, standby, synchronisation between generator sets, synchronisation to mains and back synchronisation. All of these functions are available on the generator set selector switch, with the Sync-on and Back Sync feature controlled remotely from a stand-alone remote panel. Option 1. Generator with AMG Control Panel The following modes are available when using option 1. Prime: Single generator stand-alone. Prime With Multiple Sets: Up to eight generator sets synchronising with each other. Mains Parallel: Single generator set synchronising with the mains. Includes generator set breaker control only and ROCOF Relay to trip the generator set breaker upon mains failure. tor ec nn Co r to Automatic Mains Fail with Soft Re-Transfer: ec nn Co When operating in Automatic Mains Failure mode the controller continuously senses the condition of the mains supply. On failure of the mains supply the generator set is started. When the generator set is ready for the load the mains breaker is opened and the generator set breaker is closed to the dead bus. After mains power returns and remains healthy for a preset time, the generator will synchronise to the mains and close the mains breaker at the sync point. The generating set automatically unloads at a predetermined rate and opens the generator set breaker. The generator set stops after a cooling off period and returns to the standby mode.

Option 2. Remote Synchon Panel Remote Operation tor ec nn Co tor ec nn Co The following mode is available when using options 1 & 2 together. Back Sync Mode: When operating in this mode the generator set provides a Sync-on and Back Sync off with no break operation for utility work. The Back Sync function is controlled remotely from a stand-alone remote panel (Synchon Panel) connected to the AMG panel. The generator set is synchronised to the mains supply and load can be manually transferred to it using the AMG panel or automatically using the Synchon Panel. The mains supply can then be manually...
