Switch Controls • Provides complete control of up to seven functions. • Fused circuitry for quick serviceability. • Mounts flush to the Federal Signal PA300 siren. • Completely assembled with interchangeable plastic legends. • Police and fire legends included. • Legends backlit for easy night-time viewing. Federal Signal’s SW400SS and SW400SSJ switch controls provide switching for seven separate lighting or auxiliary functions. Each unit has a three-position slide-switch and four auxiliary switches. The slide switch can quickly activate functions or combinations in a progressive sequence. Slide switch positions 1 and 3 each have a 20-amp relay and are fused at 20-amps. Position 2 has a 40-amp relay and a self-resetting 40-amp circuit breaker. Both models have four auxiliary switches to enable users to activate other functions from the same panel. Model SW400SS has four 20-amp rocker switches. Model SW400SSJ has three 20-amp rocker switches and one 10-amp momentary switch. This momentary switch is especially effective for jogging Smart Vector™ “Smart Pods” in alley, takedown, or searchlight modes. The auxiliary switches have blade-type fuses mounted on the back of the housing to simplify finding and replacing blown fuses. Plastic legends can be easily popped out and replaced when control functions change. They are backlit with a soft green glow that makes each switch visible at night without glare.
