Combing and Loading
Bacon bellies are automatically transferred from injectors to the combing unit using conveyor belts. An operator uses a laser beam for precise positioning of the CT muscle, although this process is fully automated for trimmed bellies. The system minimizes labor by eliminating repetitive tasks, ensuring high productivity. Patented combing bars optimize handling, prong insertion, decombing, and washing operations. A TFRC Cartesian robot transfers combing bars with bellies onto trees, trucks, or racks. The system can load up to 8 combing bars per minute, with each bar holding 3 to 5 bellies, achieving a maximum productivity of 40 combed bellies per minute. The design is flexible, compact, and easily integrated into existing facilities.
Unloading and Decombing
The TFRC Cartesian robot unloads bars with frozen bellies from trees. A special pulling system extracts combing bars without stress, and bellies are automatically delivered to presses via conveyors. Empty bars are stored dynamically, then washed and reused. The decombing unit is also available for continuous systems and is internationally patented.
