Overview
This document presents the FARBO compact pneumatic globe valves series, highlighting improvements over previous models. The valves are designed to be more economical and compact, reducing space requirements and optimizing costs. They are primarily used in industrial automation for controlling fluid flow.
Product Description
The new series of pneumatic globe valves features bodies made of bronze (or brass for version ECT050). They come standard with a sealing gasket that also functions as a wiper, making them suitable for use with particularly dirty fluids.
Valve Versions and Flow Direction
- Standard Version: Flow above the seat.
- Alternative Version: Flow below the seat, available for high-temperature applications.
Temperature resistance varies by version:
- Standard valves withstand up to +150°C.
- Version B withstands temperature peaks up to +250°C but is only available with flow below the seat.
- Version BH withstands peaks up to +180°C.
Note: If pressure (P) values are not suitable for the standard flow configuration, FARBO can design actuators for different pressure conditions with flow below the seat.

Materials used include AISI 304 and AISI 316 stainless steel for actuators and bodies, PTFE for seals, and bronze or brass for valve bodies.
3-Way Angle Seat Valve
Available in DN20 and PN16 ratings, with multiple connection options and configurations for fluid inlet and outlet. Suitable for neutral gases and air.
Y-Strainer (Filter) Options
Y-strainers (model FRX) are available in various sizes from 1/4" to 3" with materials AISI 304 and 316. Dimensions vary by size, ensuring compatibility with different pipeline requirements.
Lubrication Recommendations
Most customers do not use additional lubricants for compressed air as FARBO products are permanently lubricated during assembly. However, lubrication is recommended for applications with high cycling frequency.
If lubricated air is used, it must be consistently applied in all subsequent uses to avoid removal of factory-applied grease. Suitable oils include ARAL Vitam GF 32, BP Energol HLP 32, Esso Nuto H 32, Mobil DTE 24, Shell Tellus Oil DO 32, and similar oils.
Biological oils containing esters are not recommended due to incompatibility with some materials.
