DESCRIPTION Spear bolts are used to permanently fix tunnel segments together and can be used in both the radial and circumferential joints. The Spear bolt is inserted inside the “cast in” special socket that guarantees the perfect anchorage into the concrete. Their total compatibility allows a perfect screwing of the spear bolt into its socket. Spear bolts are made with C40 and C45 steel which represents a good compromise between strength and toughness performances.
