GAMMA-M

Product catalog summary
Description: The GAMMA-M is an instrument designed to measure various parameters such as weight, load, pressure, displacement, or DC current using external shunts. It supports transducers like Load-Cell, Pressure Transmitter, Linear Potentiometers, and Shunts. The device offers manual or teach scaling, selectable filter levels, and adjustable last digit resolution for signal adaptation. It features setpoints with options for Latch, Delay, or Hysteresis, and can work with Peak, Valley, or Peak-Peak values. The instrument supports serial communication, transmitting at 200 readings per second when a special function is activated. It provides four excitation voltages: 10 V, 5 V, 2.2 V, and 24 V.
Connections: The GAMMA-M includes various connectors for power supply, logical functions, and input signals. The CN1 connector is for power supply, with different configurations for AC and DC versions. CN2 handles logical functions like RESET, HOLD, and TARE. CN3 is for input signals, supporting voltage, current, and excitation inputs.
Front Panel Functions: The front panel includes displays for measured variables and programming parameters, along with LEDs indicating relay status, data storage, peak/valley values, setpoints, and programming modes. Keys on the panel allow for entering programming mode, displaying peak/valley values, and resetting memory.
Options: The GAMMA-M can be equipped with various output options, including SPDT and SPST relays, NPN and PNP outputs, RS232C and RS485 communication outputs, and isolated analog outputs. These outputs are programmable for different actions and operations.
Standard Functions: The instrument supports TARE operations, peak and valley memory, and hold functions. These can be controlled via front panel keys or CN2 connector inputs.
Programmable Logic Functions: The CN2 connector provides programmable optocoupled inputs for additional functions, such as displaying peak/valley values, holding displays, and printing values via RS outputs.
Input Signal Specifications: The GAMMA-M supports various input signals, including voltage, current, load cell, and potentiometer inputs, with specified input impedances and excitation voltages.
Display and Conversion: The main display shows values from -9999 to 9999 with programmable decimal points. The device uses a Σ∆ conversion method with a resolution of ±15 bits and a rate of 555/s.
Power Supply and Environmental Specifications: The GAMMA-M operates on different power supplies, including 230/115 V AC, 24/48 V AC, and 10-30 V DC. It is designed for a working temperature range of -10 ºC to +60 ºC and is housed in a 1/8 DIN case with IP65 sealing for indoor use.
Mechanical Specifications: The device has a depth of 120 mm, weighs 600g, and is made of UL 94 V-0 polycarbonate material.
Ordering References: The GAMMA-M is available in different models based on power supply requirements: GAMMA-M for 115/230V AC, GAMMA-M1 for 10-30V DC, and GAMMA-M2 for 24/48V AC.

GAMMA-M-1

GA MMA-M instrument designed to measure (weight, load, pressure, displacement, or DC current using external shunts) accepts transducers like Load-Cell, Pressure Transmitter, Linear Potentiometers, Shunts. Etc... Two scaling ways, manual or teach, levels of filter selectable by key as well as last digit resolution make easy to adapt the instrument to any input signal. Setpoints with possibility of Latch, Delay or Hysteresis, working related to Peak, Valley or Peak-Peak value. The serial communication allows, using a especial function, transmitting at 200 readings per second, during all time this special function is activated. GAMMA-M OPTIONS FRONT PANEL FUNCTIONS Serial communication protocols: standard, ISO1745 and MODBUS RTU. STANDARD FUNCTIONS TARE The tare operation is accomplished by a push of the TARE key on the front panel or by applying a low level signal to the corresponding logic input at the CN2 connector. The tare memory is cleared to zero by a combination of the RESET and TARE keys (also at the CN2 connector). PEAK & VALLEY, PEAK-PEAK The instrument detects and memorizes the max and min values reached for the variable after the last reset (peak and valley, peak-peak). To display the peak value, press...

GAMMA-M-3

GAMMA-M Programmable logic functions (CN2) The rear connector CN2 provides 4 user programmable optocoupled inputs NPN or PNP that can be operated from external contacts or logic levels supplied by an electronic system. Four different functions may be then added to the functions available from the front-panel keys. Each function is associated to one of the CN2 connector pins ( PIN1, PIN2, PIN3, PIN4 and PIN 5) referred to PIN 3. Each PIN can be assigned one of the 31 functions listed on the following table. (*) Factory default From 0 to 9: DISPLAY / MEMORY FUNCTIONS Nº Deactivated TA RE (*) RESET...
