FABU Horizontal Drill Rig

FABU Horizontal Drill Rig

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides detailed information on the operation and specifications of the Ground Mole, an underground boring machine designed for creating horizontal bores beneath roads and railways without trenching. This machine is used for laying pipelines and cables underground without disturbing surface structures.
Operation Areas: The Ground Mole is capable of boring beneath roads and railways, allowing for the installation of underground supply lines such as gas, water, communication, and energy cables. It operates without causing damage to surface structures and does not disrupt daily life.
Technical Specifications: The Ground Mole is available in various diameters ranging from 77 mm to 240 mm. The diameter of the hole to be bored determines the appropriate rocket size. The machine operates with a forward and backward motion, requiring minimal manpower for target determination and startup.
Depth and Target Determination: The movement axis of the rocket should be at a depth of 12-15 times the diameter of the rocket. Accurate target determination is crucial, especially for longer distances. The distance to be bored depends on ground conditions, air temperature, and air pressure, with a general capability of boring up to 100 meters.
Operational Procedures: The starting plate is placed 40 cm from the surface and fixed with ground spikes. The rocket is secured on the starting plate, and the target is determined. The air hose controls the rocket's motion: right for forward and left for backward. The air feeding valve is initially opened halfway and then fully once the rocket leaves the plate. Boring speed averages 5-10 meters per hour in soil or clay at 87 PSI (6 Bars).
Maintenance and Safety: Air pressure should not exceed 87 PSI to prevent equipment damage. Lubrication is essential, with specific oils recommended based on temperature conditions. The lubricant reservoir must remain full. Proper alignment and observation are necessary to ensure precise boring.

FABU Horizontal Drill Rig-1

-The GROUND MOLE provides accurate horizontal boresbeneath roads, railways without trenching the ground.By boring with Ground Mole, underground supply linessuch as pipelines for gas, water, communication and engerycables can easly be furnished underground without anydamage to the structures on the ground. Furthermore, daily life is not disturbed while operating.- FABU GROUND MOLE rockets are manufactured indiameters of 77 mm., 97 mm., 132 mm., 160 mm., 190 mm.and 240 mm. The diameter of the hole to be bored determines the diameter of the rocket to be purchased.- The Ground Mole operates underground, moves in horizontaldirection with forward and backward motion. 1. The longer the distance to be bored, more sensitive the target determination is, therefore good observation and precise aligment is essential.4. Distance to be bored : Distance to be bored depends on the appropriacy of the ground formation, theair temperature and the air pressure applied. In general use, a distance of 100 meters can be performed.5. Starting plate is placed approximately 40 cm. away from the surface to be bored and is fixed on the ground in the direction of the arrow by means of four ground spikes. 6. Rocket is placed on the starting plate and tightened by means of roller bolt. 7. Target is determined. 8. For forward motion of the rocket the air hose is turned to the right, for backward motion of the rocket the air hose is turned to the left till the end. 9. It must be checked that the air hose is turned to the right while the rocket is on the starting plate. Otherwise, the gear part and the other moving parts of the roller can be damaged.10. Air feeding valve is openned half until the rocket leaves the plate completely and then the valve is fully openned.11. Boring speed is 5-10 meters/hour in average in a soil or clay formation when the air pressure is 87 PSI - 6 Bars . 12. To remove the rocket from the bore: The plate is removed, the air feeding valve is closed and the air hose is turned to the left till end. Then, the air feeding valve is openned and the rocket starts moving back. >
