Technical Description

The VERTICONE operates vertically from top to bottom using abrasive conical grinding discs integrated with air channels. The peeling rotor has a smaller diameter at the top (under the feed screw) and a larger diameter at the bottom (above the outlet).

Grain is fed through a vertical feed pipe and pushed into the peeling chamber by a screw. The peeling effect is adjustable by modifying the peeling gap, which is controlled by vertically shifting the peeling rotor to vary the distance between grinding discs and sieves. This allows optimal adaptation to different product sizes and peeling degrees.

Additional adjustment of peeling intensity is possible by shifting a counterweight, which increases the counterpressure on the outlet plate.

An optional cooling fan prevents excessive heating during peeling, and husks are pneumatically extracted.
