iWAP MOBILE Zone 1 Portable WLAN System Zone 1/2 Explosion Proof Portable Wireless Access Point system to allow standard WLAN hardware to be installed in potentially explosive, harsh, wet, and corrosive environments 2 II GD or 3 II GD (Full Ex code depends on the internal hardware used) IP66 -20ºC/-10ºC to 40oC/55ºC (note this depends on the internal hardware used) Overview The iWAP MOBILE provides the ability to quickly deploy wireless infrastructure in remote locations, parts of the plant that do not have permanent WLAN coverage or can be used for carrying out RF surveys prior to installing a WLAN permanently. The system is designed around Extronics' iWAP Wireless series of products for use in extreme environments. They incorporate an iWAP Access Point Enclosure System and 1 or 2 iANT antenna’s along with a suitable wireless access point. The rugged plastic anti-static enclosure conforming to EN60079-0 and EN60079-14 protects the internal equipment from the environment and makes it easy to transport due to the built-in wheels and handle. Various types of Explosion Proof (Exd) live disconnect connectors can be fitted to connect to power and Ethernet networks or allow multiple iWAP MOBILE systems to be connected together for special applications. To complement the system a range of cable reels and special cable assemblies are available to ensure the maximum efficiency, safety and convenience when in use. Rapid Deployment Allows for very fast set up time thus reducing overall costs by meaning WLAN coverage does not have to be installed on all parts of the plant in areas where it will not be used frequently.
