Specifications
The BK-EX Battery Box is housed in stainless steel (1.4301) and offers IP65 protection, making it dustproof and splash-water protected. It weighs approximately 15 kg and operates at either 12VDC or 24VDC with a capacity of 20Ah at 12VDC or 10Ah at 24VDC. The battery box uses two lead acid gel rechargeable batteries (Type Dryfit A 512/10.0 S) and features a 2-pin jack connection (Type GHG 542 5210 V0). The ambient temperature range for operation is -20°C to +50°C, and for storage, it is -30°C to +60°C. The maximum charging/discharge current is 8A, and it takes approximately 12 hours to fully charge. Charging must occur in a safe area only.

ATEX Certification
The battery box is ATEX certified with the following specifications: TUV EX5 01 11 38033 014, II 2 G EEx ed IIC T6, and II 2 D T80°C.

Recommendations
To avoid battery damage by deep discharge, the recommended under-voltage cut-off level is 10.5V for a 12V battery pack and 21V for a 24V battery pack.

Overview
The BK-EX is a rugged stainless steel rechargeable battery enclosure designed for use in Zone 1 & 21 hazardous areas. It is suitable for both mobile and fixed applications and includes an ATEX certified outlet socket for easy equipment connection. The enclosure cannot be recharged in hazardous areas.
