Brochure Tri Fold - 1

During the 1970’s energy crisis, Exergen Corporation was formed as a consulting company to develop new methods of reducing energy use for institutional and industrial clients. To find targets for energy savings, Exergen designed innovative sensors and instruments which measured energy lost through temperature changes or leackage at critical construction points, such as around window casing. This led to the design and manufacturing of an extensive line of infrared sensors, thermometers, and scanners for industrial and medical applications. • 1980 – Exergen founded by Dr. Frank Pompei, inventor and innovator who holds over 70 patents in thermal management. • 1983 – Micro Scanner – first pocket-sized infrared temperature scanner. • 1985 - D-Series – first and still only emissivity error-free infrared • 1991 – IRt/c -- first and still only unpowered IR thermocouple – most popular in the world. • 1995 – SnakeEye – first thermal switch to detect presence of hot melt adhesive and hot objects. • 1999 – TemporalScanner – first temporal artery thermometer for professionals and consumers. • 2000 – DX Series -- first palm-sized emissivity error-free infrared thermometer. • 2002 – SmartIRt/c -- first microprocessor-based, linearized, infrared temperature sensor. Plug and play with unfailing accuracy. • 2002 -- Adding to his BS and MS engineering degrees from MIT, Dr. Pompei earns his MS and PhD from Harvard University. • 2003 – microIRt/ -- first micro sized, unpowered IR thermocouple. • 2004 - SmartIRt/c20 – first 20:1 field of view, microprocessor- based, linearized, infrared temperature sensor • 2005 – New micro IRt/c 4 -- first micro sized 4:1 field of view, self- powered IR thermocouple. • 2005 – Exergen named #1 IR Thermometer in the world. • 2006 – Smart-micro IRt/c -- introduction of microIRt/c and smart microprocessor platform creating a plug and play solution. • 2007 – Founding of Exergen Industrial Division with dedicated sales team in Europe. • 2008 -- ExtremeIRt/c – the world’s most rugged IRt/c able to withstand mechanical and thermal shock and hold true accuracy. • 2008 – IRt/c 3x-RF -- NEMA 4x IP67 specifically for measuring refrigerated food products. • 2009– Heat Balance Series for medical applications. • 2010 – Arterial thermometer receives New York Times award as one the top ten inventions of the last century. • 2011 – Exergen adds NAFTA certification to its ISO, RoHS, and CE certificates. • 2012 – Exergen becomes a strategic partner of HP-Indigo. • 2013 – Exergen releases new smart Glow TemporalScanner Thermometer. • 2014 – Exergen enables Syneron, leader in the aesthetic market, to deliver pain free aesthetic treatment. • 2014 – Exergen signs M&R, largest textile printing company in the world. • 2015 – Clean Micro Air Purge Jacket. • 2015 – Exergen signs Neuwave to ensure safety and efficiency for its Ablation Systems. • 2015 – Cone innovation and Sensoranics™, the process of driving integrated cooperation between mechanical engineering teams, while employing the latest infrared temperature sensor innovations and, most importantly, applying an in-depth understanding of and combined knowledge to thermal processes. “We are always looking for ways to increase flash curing speed and quality in the most cost efficient way possible. That meant working with an innovative and industryleading sensor vendor to find the sensor that met our requirements. Exergen Global was that vendor. A complex problem was tackled by our combined teams and solved in a very neat way: a customized Exergen IRt/c sensor.“ Bo Magda, VP of Engineering of M&R Exergen Global offices: The Netherlands Pastoor Clercxstraat 26 5465 RH Veghel Tel: +31 (0)413 376 599 Fax: +31 (0)413 379 310 office@exergenglobal.com www.exergenglobal.com LEADER IN NON-CONTACT INFRARED TEMPERATURE SENSOR SOLUTIONS CONTROLLING THERMAL MANAGEMENT, PROCESSES AND AUTOMATION.
