HPS III-FleX system design The system consists of a linear main manifold which is combined with two side manifolds of the same length. At the connecting positions to the main manifold a special pivot joint technology is used which allows the side manifolds to be positioned within a defined angular range. Thus, the system is adaptable to moulds with different pitch distances within a defined range. The manifold design with screwed-in sprue bushing and very compact coil heaters minimizes the installation space. Different pitch distances realised quickly and easily Depending on the angularity between main manifold and lateral manifolds a surface generates within which any nozzle positions and the pitch distance (S) are freely selectable. Therefore, the system can be used in several moulds with different pitch distances by simply dismantling it from one mould and assembling it in the other one.
