Automated Glass Load Station

Product catalog summary
Features and Benefits
An automated robot system is designed to enhance the efficiency of PV module glass handling. The system allows for continuous operation by utilizing two load ports, enabling one rack of glass to be unloaded while another is being prepared. This setup minimizes downtime and ensures a steady flow of materials into the production line.

Automated Glass Load Station
The automated glass load station features a robot that picks up glass from either a horizontal or vertical load port. The glass is then placed on a feed conveyor for washing. The system is initiated by a line operator through a PLC-controlled interface, allowing for quick production starts.

Specifications
- Typical Glass Size: 1,000 mm x 1,600 mm x 4 mm
- Typical Glass Weight: 16 kg
- Cycle Rate: Robot load time is approximately 20 seconds
- Rack Load Capacity: Approximately 125 glass sheets
- Utility Requirements: Compressed Dry Air (CDA) per ISO 8573.1

Automated Glass Load Station-1

Automated Glass Load Station An automated robot picks up PV module glass from a horizontal or vertical type load port located on a pallet or rack. As the robot is unloading one rack of glass, another rack of glass may be placed on the adjacent load port. As soon as the rack being unloaded is emptied, an operator replenishes the empty load port with a full rack of glass. The robot removes glass, one at a time, from the rack. After each glass sheet is removed, it is placed on Automated glass loading provides quick production start the feed conveyor for glass washing. The glass orientation configuration is entered into the system prior to starting line production and a line operator initiates system operation with a PLC controlled operator interface.
