Our Expertise for the optimal Film The design of esde polishing stacks is optimised to individual specifications for films and sheets, semi-finished and finished products. Depending upon the required loads the esde polishing units are equipped with pneumatic or hydraulic roll locking force. Cooling rolls and haul-off are driven by high-dynamic synchronous servo-drive motors. The drives are exactly inertia tuned and are synchronized with each other. esde lines produce finished film widths of 100 to 2100 mm and sheet widths up to 2300 mm. They are ideally suited for film thicknesses between 150 µm and 2000 µm, for compact sheets up to 12 mm and for foamed sheets up to 32 mm.

Accurate Film Thickness The principle of roll deflection compensation (BLK) facilitates the manufacture of an extremely constant film thickness. Due to the stabilized core the BLK roll equidistantly adapts to the deflection of the standard cooling roll. In this way the tolerance of the film thickness is kept to a minimum thus resulting in a considerably higher productivity.
