This capability enables the integration of CAN FD devices (including CAN CC) into an EtherCAT-based automation system and ensures real-time communication and interoperability across different networks. Compliant with the EtherCAT Standard The gateway operates with EtherCAT SubDevice functionality that is fully compliant with the ETG.5001 (cAn Interface - Module Profile No. 5000), ensuring standardized and efficient integration into EtherCAT networks. The firmware of the device can be updated via FoE. Ethernet-over-EtherCAT (EoE) Support Additionally, the module can be configured as an Ethernet switch port using the Ethernet-over-EtherCAT (EoE) protocol. This enables the extension of the EtherCAT network to include standard Ethernet devices, enhancing the network's flexibility and capability. CAN FD Port The CAN FD (ISO 11898-2) compatible port allows a data-transfer rate of 10 kBit/s up to 8 Mbit/s The CAN FD port is connectable either via a pluggable 5-pin PCB terminal block with push-in spring connection or via InRailBus.
