Introduction
The Escomatic EC 08 is a flexible and innovative automatic turning center designed for cost-effective manufacturing of small to large batch sizes. It is an evolution of the D6 series, incorporating CNC technology to handle diameters up to 8.0mm.

Escomatic Concept
Unlike conventional lathes, Escomatic lathes use a unique concept where the material does not rotate. Instead, cutting tools mounted on a spinning tool head rotate around the material. This design is suitable for various lot sizes and contributes to high performance and cost savings.

Material Feed
Material can be fed into the machine from coil or bar. A standalone straightening unit is required for coil material, while a bar feeder can be used for bar material. The CNC-controlled Z1-axis and feed collet manage material feeding.

Turning Process
The material is guided through a bush to four turning tools on the tool head, controlled by axes X1 and Y1. Two tools can operate simultaneously, with cutting tools rotating around the material at speeds up to 10,000 min-1.

Central Machining Unit
This unit features eight axial positions for tools and four lateral positions for powered tools, allowing operations like drilling, tapping, threading, milling, or turning.

Counter Collet Spindle
The counter spindle rotates at speeds up to 12,000 min-1, facilitating the transfer of workpieces for back machining.
