Product catalog summary
Introduction
ERSADUR long-life soldering tips are engineered for continuous use and high-quality soldering results. They feature a unique galvanic iron coating and a protective chrome layer to prevent corrosion and oxidation, ensuring excellent thermal conductivity and protecting the heating element from overheating.
Specifications
The soldering tips are composed of a copper body with layers of iron, nickel, and chrome plating. This construction is exclusive to Ersa and is designed to extend the tip's lifespan and maintain soldering quality.
Tip Reactivation Procedure
  • Set the temperature to 250 – 270 °C (482 – 518 °F).
  • Insert the wettable area of the tip into the reactivator paste and move slightly.
  • Clean off reactivator residues and add new solder after cleaning.
  • Utilize the standby temperature function and shutdown feature of the soldering station.
  • Use only original Ersa soldering tips.
Extending Tip Lifetime
  • Maintain a reasonable tip temperature of 340 – 360 °C for lead-free solder.
  • Regularly replace dirty metal wool in the dry cleaner and avoid sticking the tip too deep.
  • Use a brass brush for difficult-to-clean tips, avoiding steel brushes.
  • Ensure sponges are damp, not wet, and add new solder immediately after cleaning.
Cleaning Mistakes to Avoid
  • Avoid using abrasives and chemicals.
  • Do not use inappropriate pliers or store tips improperly.
  • Ensure tips are stored on brass pins and not in a stand with the opening upwards.
Exchanging Soldering Tips
Switch off the station, unscrew the tip, and remove it using tweezers. Store the tips correctly to prevent contamination and damage.
