Search coils The Metalarm 6600 Control Unit can be operated with any of the Metalarm 6000 Range of Search Coils. There are two groups of plate type search coils, the 'S' series for the standard sensitivity and the 'SW' series for high sensitivity. The 'S' series is manufactured in high density polyethylene and the 'SW' in polypropylene. Both types of coil can be supplied with grooves down their centres for conveyor belts that have underbelt tracking ribs. These are designated by the letter 'C'.
