Eddy Current Separators

Eddy Current Separators

Eddy Current Separators

Product catalog summary
Features
  • Various magnetic designs for different applications, from fine materials to large scrap processing.
  • Suitable for new and existing recycling plants.
  • Simple operation with adjustable settings.
  • Available in sizes ranging from 300mm to 2000mm feed widths.
Typical Applications
  • Recovery of aluminium cans from municipal solid waste (MSW).
  • Removal of non-ferrous metals from recycled glass and plastic.
  • Collection of copper from waste electronic and electrical equipment (WEEE).
  • Extraction of nails and screws from recycled wood and biofuel.
  • Removal of non-ferrous metals from incineration bottom ash.
Principle of Operation

Eddy Current Separators (ECS) use powerful magnets to separate non-ferrous metals like aluminium, brass, and copper from waste. They are often combined with other magnetic separation equipment for optimal recovery.

Models / Magnet Designs
  • RevX-E ST22: For 3-15mm particles, suitable for PET flake, glass cullet, and incineration bottom ash.
  • RevX-E ST2: For 15-35mm particles, suitable for shredded scrap, woodchip, and solid recovered fuel (SRF).
  • RevX-E LT2: For particles over 35mm, suitable for car fragments, woodchip, MSW, and refuse-derived fuel (RDF).
  • LC09: For particles over 75mm, used in MSW to recover whole aluminium cans.
Options Available
  • Full stock of critical spares available at the UK headquarters.
  • Service and support from experienced engineers.
  • Reference sites available across Europe and the UK.
Eddy Current Separator Service

Standard ECS are supplied with a Vibratory Feeder for even material distribution. A monolayer of material is required for maximum recovery. ECS are robust, reliable, and easy to maintain.

Eddy Current Separator Modular Systems
  • Designed to incorporate additional separators into standalone systems.
  • Options include overband magnet and magnetic drum separator.
  • Dual-stage recovery and ease of installation.
Testing Service

Eriez Europe’s recycling test centre allows customers to determine the best equipment combination for their needs. The centre conducts feasibility tests and performance assessments, providing a report on expected recovery quantities and suitable equipment configurations.

Eddy Current Separators-2

Eddy Current Separators or ECS utilise powerful magnets to separate valuable non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, brass and copper from different waste types. ECS are often used in combination with other magnetic separation equipment to provide optimum non-ferrous downstream recovery from shredders, granulators and crushers. FEATURES The magnetic field repels from the magnetic rotor and non-ferrous metals are “thrown” from the belt Non-ferrous metals allow Eddy Currents to flow and produce their own magnetic field • ange of magnetic designs to suit multiple applications R from fine materials...

OPTIONS AVAILABLE EDDY CURRENT SEPARATORS Eriez Eddy Current Separators as standard are supplied with a Vibratory Feeder to ensure an even spread of material across the ECS belt. A monolayer of material is required on the ECS to ensure maximum recovery of valuable non-ferrous metals from waste types, such as household refuse (MSW), shredded wood, PET flake and waste electronics (WEEE). • agnetic configuration and design to suit a M range of application types, from coarse to ultra fine ECS with Vibratory Feeder • Robust and reliable • Ease of maintenance EDDY CURRENT SEPARATOR MODULAR SYSTEMS...
