Technical Description
The GRITSCAN Surface Analysis System is a hardware and software combination designed for automatic evaluation and documentation of impact images. It connects to standard laptops or PCs via USB and is used to assess resistance to stone chipping according to EN ISO 20567-1. Results are displayed as characteristic values (0 - 5) based on EN ISO 20567-1, pages 11-13, and image evaluation follows EN ISO 21227-2 Appendix A.

Principle of the Test
GRITSCAN automates the evaluation and documentation of impact images using LED lighting technology for analysis at different contrast levels. Users can adjust evaluations to meet test requirements. The system provides values such as damaged area percentage, number of impacts, and characteristic values in 0.1 steps. Results and images are available in PDF format.

Advantages
Compared to other image-processing software, GRITSCAN integrates hardware control into the software, automatically inserts images, and creates logs without additional hardware.
