The Paste Ink Proofer (PIP) by RK PrintCoat Instruments Ltd. is designed for quick, repeatable, and highly accurate proofing and color-matching of various inks and varnishes. It features automated operation, eliminating the need for manual weighing or measuring of ink samples.

The PIP is essential for ink makers and printers, providing a simple method for producing high-quality proofs. The PIP simplifies the proofing process with an automatic inking and printing system. The operator applies ink with a spatula across the laser-engraved ceramic roller, and the machine automatically adjusts printing speed and pressure. Multiple proofs can be obtained by applying more ink, and a triple-banded engraved roller is available for printing three standard ink densities simultaneously.

The ink film on the blanket roller is precisely metered by a screen engraved on the inking roller. The ceramic surface of the roller is durable and ideal for quality control purposes. The table provides approximate ink film weights for different densities.
