The Nomogram Disk Model 458 is designed for converting viscosity measurement data across various unitary systems with specified reference temperatures. It allows conversion into units such as cSt, cP, Engler degrees, Krebs Stormer units, Gardner Holdt units, and efflux times according to standards like ISO 2431 and ASTM D 1200.

Design and Function
The disk combines conversion nomograms for both viscosity and temperature-dependent scales. It facilitates direct comparison between different viscosity units using a simple indicator. The conversion between kinematic and dynamic units considers liquid density ranging from 0.7 to 1.5 g/cm³. The temperature-dependent scale uses a temperature coefficient of 5.5%/°C and operates on a slide rule principle.
